Emily Ross Brown earned her bachelor’s in communications, with a concentration in advertising from Boston University.  She studied writing at Boston University, Goucher College, and The Johns Hopkins University. Brown began her writing career as a feature writer for the music review portion of SpinRecords.com out of San Diego, California. 

 

Brown has been the manager of company recruitment and marketing departments, and her magazine features have appeared in numerous local Baltimore, Maryland publications.  

 

Ms. Brown writes historic nonfiction narratives. She currently resides in Baltimore County, Maryland with her husband and two children. Brown is an active member of her community and enjoys travel, hospitality and living a balanced life.
